Announcing the 7th Annual MIOpera INternational Vocal Competition!
History
In 2019 MIOpera held its inaugural vocal competition to recognize, encourage, and financially support exceptional emerging operatic talent.
MIOpera offers three awards in each of our divisions:
Emerging Artists & University/College Divisions
2026 Competition Format:
Emerging Artists Division: Competes online but will need to be available for the Winners Concert the following dates: (YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO PERFORM ON THE WINNERS CONCERT, IF YOU DO NOT YOU DO NOT GET YOUR PRIZE MONEY. ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE)
Saturday May 16 @ 7pm: Winners Concert Rehearsal
Sunday May 17 @ 3pm; Winners Concert
-All performers will receive travel and lodging. You must be present and perform at the concert to receive your prize money.
University Division: Competes fully online.
