Family Friendly Event! Great for all ages!

This community event features baritone and children’s book author Jason McKinney! Jason is the star of MIOpera’s upcoming Sunday May 17 @ 3:00pm production of Moments with Paul: A musical about the life of Paul Robeson. He is also a celebrated children’s author of Jason Belongs:, a story about this own experience of finding identity, purpose and belonging through music. The evening will begin with Storytime with Jason and then experience Jason’s powerful vocals in a concert where he will be joined by the MIOpera Vocal Ensemble.

6:30pm-7:00pm: Jason Belongs: Storytime with Jason: For all Ages! Children will receive a signed copy of Jason’s book. While supplies last.

7:15pm-8:30pm: Conversations in Creativity: A conversation about music, color and blending his African and Jewish heritage with baritone and author Jason McKinney. Experience Jason’s powerful vocals in a preview concert of Moments with Paul where he will also be joined by the MIOpera Vocal Ensemble.
